I am disappointed September 2, 2010 SeongSuk.Yun I was looking forward to receive that item for a week. After I check this,I was frustrated because that was broken. I couldn't wrap the fourth guitar line. I can't tune so I coudn't play it in fron of my fellows.
I hope the representive should check carefully your items. I shipped that through post office to get the fully refund including delivery fee.Jasmine Takamine S35 Acoustic Guitar, Natural
Jasmine Takamine guitar August 30, 2010 J. Kim I found it to be a whole lot more for the money then I expected. The action is nicely set. The neck is also a nice width that is comfortable to play with but not so big that it is awkward. I feel that this is a nicely designed product, and manufacturing is of high quality as well. If you're going to put a strap on it, there's only one knob at the bottom of the body - you'll need a strap that loops onto the head at the other end. The body provides great acoustics - nice projection, clear and crisp, acting well for percussive effects too. Product packaging is two layer cardboard (top box slides over bottom box). Guitar fits in box without much play. Packed with strings loose, paper over the strings, and the guitar in a styrofoam bag. Mine arrived fine, but if you have problems with boxes damaged in shipment you might reconsider - there were edge padding or other protection inside. Will arrive fine as long as it's handled properly - you know it's a guitar by the package, so as long as handler's remain aware it will be fine. Nice product. Put together well, no dings, weird connections or low quality construction. For the price I don't think you could do better. The Natural color is not blond like the picture shows, but a little darker - preferable for me. Great practice guitar with a good sound, very pleased.
Great Guitar August 24, 2010 Gregory J. Gervasio (New Jersey) Great Guitar. Sounds great, holds tune. Looks great. at this price my friends were very jealous! Amazon standard free shipping took forever.
Not much to say that is good. August 23, 2010 Tevita Langi Hard to play, bad sound, neck was cracked and horrible customer service! (I have never given a one star rating this is my first...it is that bad).
A Gift That is Loved August 16, 2010 Richard Rapp (Downey, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a surprise graduation gift to my son. He had been playing his mother's guitar, which just wouldn't stay in tune for more than a few minutes. At first, he had a little trouble with some low string vibration against the neck, but after a tip from a friend, that has gone away. I had read reviews suggesting this was a nice instrument for the price, but that it had a quite high string height above the neck, making it difficult for a beginner. We found no such problem - perhaps Jasmine has made adjustments over time.
The guitar is full size, but very light. It is an economy model, but produces a fine tone (I am no expert with guitars, but it is clean and pleasant). The string height seems normal to me, perhaps even lower than what I might have expected, and my son is adjusting to playing it just fine. He couldn't be happier, and what more could a dad want?
