| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Troubadour acoustic guitar is built with the same care and attention to detail as all Recording King instruments. The Troubadour RNJ-16 was designed based on the classic Nick Lucas-style guitars of the 1920's. To achieve the classic Recording King tone, the acoustic guitar's top is made of solid Sitka spruce and voiced with hand-shaped, fully scalloped x-bracing. The back and sides are made from mahogany. The 4-1/2" extra-deep guitar body helps to add significant volume and bass for players looking for full, round tone and projection. The "C" profile neck of the Recording King Troubadour RNJ-16's is mahogany with dot inlay on the rosewood fretboard. With a classic 1-11/16" nut width, a truly historic scale length of 24-3/4" and a bone nut and saddle, the Recording King Troubadour acoustic guitar has been carefully assembled to fit vintage specifications down to every last detail.

| Customer Reviews: An excellent, sweet little instrument. June 4, 2010 J. Etnier (Cape Elizabeth, ME USA) Somehow, mysteriously, the price on this guitar dropped below $400.00 momentarily here, and I snagged one. I really like it.
With the exception of some visible glue spots inside, fit and finish are just great. Tone is even, surprisingly strong, although a bit bass-shy, just as I'd wanted for recording. A Tonerite has been sitting on the guitar for about a week now and made an amazing difference in an already very nice sounding instrument.
My only issues: no case, but I knew that, and there's no truss rod!!! I removed the cover at the head to burnish off a little flash on the cover and there's no truss rod. A space in there, where an adjusting nut should go, but nothing there.
That said, the guitar intonates excellently, and I'm very happy.
ON EDIT, several weeks later: more and more ToneRite makes a wonderful budget guitar more and more complex and satisfying to play. Very happy I chose this instrument.
