| Customer Reviews: Great guitar; bad delivery June 25, 2010 Paula Cavalcante (Concord,CA)
This is a great travel size classical guitar from a reputable company. I purchased this guitar through amazon because I wanted to take advantage of fast delivery, but unfortunately I had a bad experience upon it's arrival. The guitar was damaged and I had to send it back. Amazon has good customer service and refunded my money. However I was still interested in this guitar so I ordered it from another reputable source: Musician's Friend. This time the guitar arrived in excellant condition. This half size guitar is perfect for someone with small hands (like me) to practice beginning classical pieces. It is also the guitar I keep handy just to pick up when there is a spare moment here and there to run some finger exercises or work on a new tune. It comes with a great gig bag for travel and it is light enough to carry backpack style through an airport terminal without a backache. All in all a good entry level Cordoba.
What is Amazon thinking April 14, 2010 P. Natskakula 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great guitar, but like so many other items (as of today since i started keeping track Amazon has missed out on $13,789 of my business) they do not ship to APO addresses. It makes absolutely no sense as it is an American address. I have had to not buy or buy somewhere else so many items because of this. Hopefully one day Amazon will get their APO/FPO act together and start supporting all of us overseas for our military. It would be nice to see.
A near perfect instrument April 6, 2010 James Devlyn (Georgia) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was unsure about buying an acoustic guitar online. One fear was that it wouldn't be packaged correctly and the product might be damaged. Those fears were put to rest the minute I opened it. The gig bag that comes with it is awesome. It's padded inside and is made of sturdy material outside. The battery operated amp that comes with it is small even for an amp. But it has quick an output. It can easily fit inside a small back pack but is loud enough to fill a room. The guitar itself is beautiful and sounds great. It is half size so it is very convenient to bring on the road.
Cordoba La Playa Traveler August 19, 2009 G. Leon 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
"I normally don't write product reviews, but I absolutely love my Cordoba La Playa Traveler. It's gone with me all over the world and because of its convenient size and light weight, I was able to carry it on many flights and squeeze it on multiple road trips. I also have a big baby Taylor at home but I find that the softer nylon string sound is more compatible to playing and song writing on the road. It's perfect for strumming in a quiet hotel room, but when amplified through the battery-operated amp (included...where else do you get that?!), the sound can carry even on a windy beach. I have also gotten a lot of comments from both friends and strangers about the gig bag that comes with the guitar. It's durable - the tarpaulin fabric is the same fabric used to the line surfboard covers - and it just looks cooler than the run of the mill gig bag. If you're on the fence about this one you should definitely give a shot. You won't regret it!"
